All system efforts are focused on two strategic directions:
- Higher student achievement
- More efficient operation
- The system realizes the need for alignment of all goals and resources from the classroom to the school board.
- Accountability/data is the basis for all goals
- Performance data is analyzed by domains, subgroups, and individual students.
- Parent, teacher, and student survey data concerning strengths, weaknesses, and needed improvements in the system are analyzed.
- Input from school councils, business partners, PTOs, booster clubs and community members is also taken into consideration.
- Balanced Scorecards are updated.
- Goals aligned to the Georgia Keys are identified and action steps are developed to reach these goals.
- Included with each goal is a list of action steps aligned to the GSSP Standards, professional learning needed with associated costs, resources and materials needed with associated costs, persons responsible for monitoring and evaluating, a timeline for implementation, the means of evaluation, artifacts, and evidence of impact.
- There is an annual review and update of the strategic plan. By aligning the Chickamauga City Schools strategic plan with the Georgia Keys, we are insuring that our resources target practices and strategies that are research based and proven to make a difference in student achievement. This strategic plan reinforces a consistent focus over time and utilizes an integrated approach throughout the system. It is the basis for future plans and the foundation in our quest for continuous improvement.
