2011 season updates
Nov 4 Gordon Lee lost to Darlington 30-7 in its final game of the season.
Oct 28 The Trojans outscored Trion 14-0 in the second half and defeated the Bulldogs 28-14. Klay Durham led GLHS with 210 yards rushing and two TDs. Ryan Chastain ran for one touchdown and connected with Hayden Moore for another score. Defensive leaders for Gordon Lee were Bryce Bailey with 19 tackles, Tanner Sexton with 17 tackles, Durham with 14 tackles, and Randall Smith with 13 tackles. Moore had a pass interception while Corey Jewell blocked a punt.
Oct 21 Gordon Lee lost to Bowdon 34-6. Ryan Chastain rushed for 96 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Klay Durham. Durham added 76 yards on the ground and led the GLHS defense with 10 tackles.
Oct 14 The Trojans blasted Mt. Zion 47-14. Klay Durham led the GLHS attack with 172 yards rushing and three TDs. Cole Vann added 78 yards on the ground for Gordon Lee, while Blake Teeters, Zack Cobb, Gabe Veazey, and Branton Phillips also scored touchdowns. Bryce Bailey led the defense with 18 tackles and Randall Smith had 11 stops.
Oct 7 Mt. Paran scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to down Gordon Lee 28-7.
Sep 30 The Trojans celebrated Homecoming by defeating River Ridge 23-8. Gordon Lee rushed for 326 yards in the game, led by a 151-yard, three-touchdown effort by Klay Durham. Defensive leaders for GLHS were Bryce Bailey with 17 tackles, Blake Teeters with 13 tackles, and Tanner Sexton and Randall Smith with 11 tackles each.
Sep 23 Gordon Lee fell to Bremen 14-7. Bryce Bailey had 17 tackles and Klay Durham made 16 tackles to lead the Trojans. Tanner Sexton added 12 tackles while Randall Smith chipped in 10 stops. Andrew Johnson scored on a 75-yard fumble return for GLHS. Durham led the offense with 109 yards rushing.
Sep 16 The Trojans held Walker to 137 yards of total offense but turned the ball over seven times in a 21-7 loss to the Wolverines. Bryce Bailey had 14 tackles to lead the GLHS defense while Tanner Sexton had 12 tackles and an interception. Klay Durham sparked the offense with 96 yards rushing. Zach Cobb scored Gordon Lee's touchdown on an 86-yard kickoff return.
Aug 26 Gordon Lee lost to Dade County 7-0. Bryce Bailey led a strong defensive effort by the Trojans with 20 tackles, a fumble recovery, and an interception. Blake Teeters and Randall Smith had 13 tackles each while Klay Durham added 11 stops.
Aug 19 The Trojans opened their season with a 25-7 win over Silverdale. Adam Vandiver ran for 110 yards and a touchdown while Klay Durham added 108 yards rushing and two TDs. Ryan Chastain scored the other Gordon Lee touchdown. The GLHS defense held the Seahawks to 43 total yards and four first downs. Defensive leaders were Bryce Bailey with 15 tackles and a fumble recovery and Tanner Sexton with 11 tackles and a fumble recovery. Blake Teeters and Randall Smith had nine tackles and one sack each.
