2004 season updates

November 5 — Gordon Lee's season ended in the first round of the state playoffs with a 41-6 loss to Athens Academy.

October 29 — The Trojans fell to Bowdon 38-22.

October 22 — Gordon Lee lost to Ringgold 21-13. The Trojans led 13-7 entering the fourth quarter but the Tigers scored two touchdowns in the period for the victory.

October 15 — The Trojans lost to Trion 30-8.

October 8 — Gordon Lee was defeated by fifth-ranked Bremen 33-0.

September 24 — Gordon Lee lost to Cass 35-16. The Trojans took a 16-14 lead with 10:11 to play in the game, but the Colonels rallied with 21 unanswered points in the final ten minutes to take the win.

Will Tutton

September 18 — The Trojans won their first region game of the season, shutting out Temple 21-0. Zach Burns, Garett Burgess, and Will Tutton scored touchdowns for Gordon Lee. The Trojan defense held Temple to just 48 yards of total offense and three first downs.

September 10 — Gordon Lee cruised to a 44-6 win over Alpharetta. The Trojans led 31-6 at halftime and added two third-quarter touchdowns in the win. Zach Burns scored four touchdowns to lead the attack. Brad Guthrie ran for 109 yards and one TD.

September 3 — Gordon Lee picked up its first win of the season, defeating Southeast Whitfield 14-6. Zach Burns ran for 115 yards and one score and a Garett Burgess to Jake Penland pass accounted for the Trojans' other TD. Johnathon Tarvin snuffed out the Raiders' last possession with his second interception of the game.

August 28 — The Trojans fell to Boyd Buchanan 34-0. Brad Guthrie led Gordon Lee with 73 yards rushing.

August 21 — Gordon Lee opened the season with a 17-6 loss to Ridgeland. Zach Burns scored the only touchdown for the Trojans. Gordon Lee outgained the Panthers but suffered six turnovers.
