2005 season updates
November 11 — The Trojans lost to Lincoln County 35-14 in the second round of state playoffs. Seniors Will Tutton and Brad Guthrie scored touchdowns in their final game for Gordon Lee.
November 4 — Gordon Lee advanced in the state playoffs with a 21-16 win over Eagle's Landing Christian Academy. Will Tutton rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns for the Trojans.
October 28 — The Trojans lost to top-ranked Bowdon 28-7. Gordon Lee finished third in Region 6A and will advance to the state playoffs.
October 21 — Gordon Lee beat Ringgold 21-6. Will Tutton rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Brad Guthrie added another TD for the Trojans.
October 14 — The Trojans defeated Trion 13-6 in overtime. Will Tutton ran for both Gordon Lee touchdowns.
October 7 — Top-ranked Bremen scored two touchdowns in the final six minutes to defeat Gordon Lee 21-10. Will Tutton led the Trojans with 186 yards of total offense and scored their only touchdown.
September 23 — Gordon Lee lost to Cass 28-13. Will Tutton scored both touchdowns for the Trojans.
September 16 — Will Tutton threw for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Gordon Lee to a 34-21 win oven Temple in the Trojans' region opener. Brad Guthrie rushed for 180 yards and two TDs for GLHS.
September 9 — The Trojans fell to Alpharetta 14-6. Brad Guthrie rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown in a losing effort.
September 2 — Gordon Lee suffered its first defeat of the season, losing to Southeast Whitfield 24-6. Four turnovers and a costly penalty spoiled the Trojans' chances.
August 27 — Patrick Mattos scored from 15 yards out in overtime, then booted home the extra point to give the Trojans a 42-41 victory over Boyd Buchanan. Mattos ran for two touchdowns, passed for 173 yards and two scores, and was perfect on six PAT attempts. Rob Crowder caught both TD passes, including a 53-yard bomb on the final play of the fourth quarter. Brad Guthrie added 103 yards rushing and a TD for GLHS.
August 19 — Gordon Lee opened its season with a 7-0 win over Ridgeland. Brad Guthrie rushed for 157 yards and the game's only touchdown to lead the Trojan attack.
