2010 season updates

Nov 5 The Trojans ended their season with a 45-13 loss to Darlington. Gordon Lee finished with a record of 4-6.

Oct 29 Dakota Almany blocked a punt with 2:41 left in the fourth quarter setting up a six-yard TD run by Klay Durham with 1:02 remaining which gave Gordon Lee a 7-0 win over Trion. The Trojans limited the Bulldogs to just 83 yards of offense and four first downs for the game. Defensive leaders for GLHS were Bryce Bailey with 11 tackles and Will Berry with 10 tackles and one sack. Blake Reynolds had eight tackles, one sack, and recoverd the blocked punt. Blake Teeters also had eight tackles while Durham added eight tackles and a fumble recovery.

Oct 22 The Trojans lost to Bowdon 31-7.

Oct 15 Gordon Lee posted a 30-8 Homecoming win over Mt. Zion. The Trojan defense limited the Eagles to 40 total yards for the game. Blake Reynolds led GLHS with eight tackles and one sack. Dakota Almany had seven tackles and a sack, Tanner Sexton also had seven tackles, while Corey Jewell added six tackles and a sack. Klay Durham led the offense with 136 yards rushing on just eight carries. Durham, Adam Vandiver, Ryan Chastain, and Alex Spires scored touchdowns.

Oct 8 The Trojans lost to Mt. Paran 14-13. Adam Vandiver and Jared Cline scored touchdowns for GLHS.

Oct 1 Gordon Lee allowed River Ridge to cross the 50-yard line only once all game and shut out the Knights 16-0. The Trojans defense surrendered only one first down in the second half and -10 yards of offense. Leading the defense for GLHS was Blake Reynolds with 13 tackles, three sacks, and a blocked punt recovered for a touchdown. Dakota Almany had 12 tackles and two sacks, Will Berry had 12 tackles and a sack, Tanner Sexton had 10 tackles and an interception, and Blake Teeters and Bryce Bailey had 10 tackles each. Jordan Pedigo added one quarterback sack. Ryan Chastain ran for 85 yards while Klay Durham had 61 yards rushing and one touchdown.

Sep 24 The Trojans lost to Bremen 16-6. Klay Durham rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown to lead the GLHS offense. Defensive leaders were Bryce Bailey with 16 tackles, Durham and Will Berry with 13 tackles each, Blake Teeters with 12 tackles and a fumble recovery, and Tanner Sexton with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Sep 17 Gordon Lee fell to Walker 23-0. Bryce Bailey led the GLHS defense with 12 tackles. Blake Reynolds, Austin Crisp, and Zack Cobb had 10 tackles each, while Cobb and Hayden Moore had interceptions and Klay Durham and Randall Smith recovered fumbles.

Aug 27 The Trojans lost to Dade County 48-0.

Aug 20 Logan Kokoszka caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Chastain with 31 seconds to play to give Gordon Lee a 6-2 victory over Silverdale Academy in its season opener. Bryce Bailey led a stout Trojan defense with 21 tackles. Blake Teeters had 17 tackles, an interception, and caused a fumble, while Will Berry had 16 tackles and one sack. Randall Smith chipped in with 11 tackles. Alex Spires and Hayden Moore added one interception each.
