2004-2005 season updates
February 18 — Gordon Lee's season ended with a 57-56 loss to Jefferson in the first round of the state tournament. Kori Penland scored 13 points and Maddie McKinley scored 12 for the Lady Trojans, who finished the season with a record of 23-4.
February 12 — Gordon Lee lost to Bowdon 58-36 in the finals of the Region 6A tournament. Kori Penland led the Lady Trojans with 17 points. Maddie McKinley added 10.
February 10 — The Lady Trojans advanced to the Region 6A tournament finals with a 57-34 win over Bremen. Maddie McKinley led all scorers with 18 points. Kori Penland added 15 for Gordon Lee.
February 5 — Gordon Lee defeated Ringgold 54-48 to end the regular season with a record of 22-2. Kori Penland scored 22 points to lead the Lady Trojans.
February 3 — The Lady Trojans beat Temple 60-47 to finish their region schedule with a 9-1 record. Kori Penland led Gordon Lee with 22 points.
January 31 — Gordon Lee defeated Boyd Buchanan 66-54. Maddie McKinley and Kori Penland each scored 18 points to lead the Lady Trojans.
January 25 — The Lady Trojans clinched the top seed in the upcoming region tournament with a 49-16 win over Excel Christian. Lauren Lowrance led Gordon Lee with 14 points.
January 22 — Gordon Lee avenged its only region loss of the season with a 64-40 win over Bremen.
January 21 — The Lady Trojans went to Bowdon and came away with a 62-48 region victory. Maddie McKinley led Gordon Lee with 20 points. Kori Penland had 14 and Allison Watts 12 for GLHS.
January 18 — Gordon Lee slipped by Trion 54-52. Maddie McKinley scored 20 points while Kori Penland added 15.
January 15 — The Lady Trojans knocked off Temple 49-26. Maddie McKinley had 15 points as ten players scored for Gordon Lee.
January 14 — Gordon Lee had its 13-game winning streak stopped at Bremen, losing 55-44. Kori Penland led the scoring with 23 points.
January 8 — The Lady Trojans defeated LaFayette 56-53. Kori Penland led the scoring with 25 points. The JV team lost to LaFayette.
January 7 — Gordon Lee slipped by Bowdon 66-65. Lauren Lowrance hit a free throw with three seconds to play to give the Lady Trojans the victory. Kori Penland led GLHS with 18 points. Maddie McKinley added 13.
January 4 — The Lady Trojans won their second region game of the season, beating Excel Christian 62-17. Kori Penland scored 16 points and Allison Watts added 15 for Gordon Lee.
December 20 — Gordon Lee knocked off Landmark Christian 70-53. Kori Penland led the scoring with 26 points. Maddie McKinley had 14 points and 5 steals. Kara Durham added 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
December 18 — The Lady Trojans beat Ringgold 47-27. Maddie McKinley scored 16 points and Kori Penland 13 for Gordon Lee. The JV team fell to the Lady Tigers in overtime.
December 17 — Gordon Lee defeated Ridgeland 43-42. Kori Penland scored 16 points, including the winning basket with 21 seconds to play. Lauren Lowrance added 12 points for the Lady Trojans. The JV team lost to Ridgeland 40-37.
December 14 — The Lady Trojans defeated Trion 56-53. Maddie McKinley scored 15 points and Kori Penland added 11 to lead Gordon Lee. Sam Floyd had 6 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds. The JV team won 43-33 over Trion.
December 11 — Gordon Lee knocked off North Sand Mountain 64-54. Maddie McKinley scored 20 points to lead the Lady Trojans' offense. Kelli Hudson added 13, including 6-for-7 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter. Allison Watts chipped in with 11 points. The JV team lost to the Lady Bison 38-33.
December 10 — The Lady Trojans defeated Boyd Buchanan 74-56. Maddie McKinley led the scoring with 17 points. Sam Floyd, Lauren Lowrance, and Kori Penland each scored 11 in the balanced attack. The JV team defeated the Lady Bucs 45-18.
December 7 — Gordon Lee jumped to a 21-4 first quarter lead and defeated Ridgeland 54-39. Kori Penland led the scoring with 16 points. Sam Floyd added 14 for the Lady Trojans. The JV team defeated Ridgeland 30-11.
December 3 — The Lady Trojans beat Landmark Christian 41-30. Maddie McKinley scored 12 points and Kori Penland 10 to help give Gordon Lee a 39-18 lead after three quarters.
November 30 — Gordon Lee defeated Marion County 59-37. Kara Durham led a balanced attack with 12 points. Kori Penland scored 11 for the Lady Trojans, who led 34-12 at halftime. Sam Floyd had 7 steals and 4 assists.
November 23 — The Lady Trojans knocked off Marion County 56-33. Maddie McKinley scored 14 points and Kori Penland had 10 to lead Gordon Lee.
November 20 — Gordon Lee lost to SW Atlanta Christian 70-64. Maddie McKinley led the Lady Trojans with 18 points and seven rebounds. Lauren Lowrance scored 11 points and Kelli Hudson added 10. The JV team lost to DAR 34-19.
November 16 — The Lady Trojans opened their season with a 56-50 win over Adairsville. Kori Penland scored 17 points and Maddie McKinley added 13 to lead the offense. Sam Floyd had 16 rebounds for Gordon Lee. The JV team defeated Adairsville 56-20.
