2010-2011 season updates
Mar 5 Gordon Lee lost to Wesleyan 78-43 in the quarterfinals of the state tournament. Leaders for the Lady Trojans were Holli Brooks with 12 points, Lesslie Bohannon with nine rebounds, and Alli O'Neal with five assists. GLHS finished the season with a record of 24-7.
Mar 1 The Lady Trojans advanced to the Elite Eight round of the state tournament for the first time since 2008 with a 64-39 win over Wilkinson County. Lesslie Bohannon scored 22 points to lead the GLHS offense. Lil Bradbury had 15 points and Holli Brooks added 10.
Feb 25 Gordon Lee rallied in the fourth quarter to knock off Paideia 43-39 in the first round of the state tournament. Holli Brooks led the Lady Trojans with 17 points, including 10 in the decisive final period.
Feb 19 The Lady Trojans lost in overtime to Darlington in the championship game of the Region 6-A tournament by a score of 71-64. Lil Bradbury led GLHS with 18 points. Holli Brooks scored 16 and Kassidy Blevins added 13 points. Brooks was named Region 6-A Player of the Year for the third consecutive year and Blevins was chosen to the All-Region first team, while Bradbury and Lesslie Bohannon were selected to the second team All-Region squad. Coach Lester Galyon was co-winner of the Region Coach of the Year award.
Feb 18 Gordon Lee held Mt. Zion to eight second-half points in its 68-32 region semifinal win over the Lady Eagles. Holli Brooks led the Lady Trojans' offense with 17 points. Kassidy Blevins added 15 points.
Feb 15 The Lady Trojans jumped to a 19-2 lead after one quarter and led 47-16 after three periods of their 49-31 region tournament victory over Walker. Lil Bradbury led GLHS with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Holli Brooks scored 11 points for Gordon Lee.
Feb 12 Gordon Lee wrapped up its regular season with a 63-24 win over Walker. Lesslie Bohannon led the Lady Trojans with 15 points. Lil Bradbury had 14 points, Holli Brooks scored 12 points, and Alli O'Neal added eight to the GLHS attack.
Feb 11 The Lady Trojans beat Bremen 62-51. Holli Brooks scored 20 points and Kassidy Blevins had 17 points to lead GLHS. Lesslie Bohannon and Lil Bradbury added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Feb 8 Gordon Lee used a 26-11 advantage in the second quarter to break open a close game on its way to a 71-42 defeat of Chattanooga Christian. Lil Bradbury led the Lady Trojans' offense with 18 points. Lesslie Bohannon scored 15 points, Holli Brooks had 13 points, and Kassidy Blevins added 12 points. The JV team beat the Lady Chargers 43-32 to end its season with a record of 9-1.
Feb 5 The Lady Trojans outscored Trion 35-15 in the first and third quarters of their 60-41 win over the Lady Bulldogs. Kassidy Blevins had 19 points for GLHS while Holli Brooks added 11. The JV team defeated Trion 59-38.
Feb 4 Gordon Lee clubbed Excel Christian 84-21. Alli O'Neal had 12 points to lead a Lady Trojan attack that had 15 different players score.
Feb 1 The Lady Trojans jumped out to a 27-7 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a 68-38 victory over Trion. Lil Bradbury had 20 points and seven rebounds for GLHS. Holli Brooks added 17 points and seven assists.
Jan 28 Gordon Lee led after each of the first three quarters but Darlington rallied in the fourth for a 62-51 win. Holli Brooks scored 19 points, Lesslie Bohannon had 14 points, and Kassidy Blevins added 12 for the Lady Trojans. The JV team avenged its only loss of the season, blasting the Lady Tigers 48-25.
Jan 25 The Lady Trojans built a 37-point lead after three quarters before taking a 62-40 win over Bremen. Holli Brooks led GLHS with 18 points. Kassidy Blevins had 12 points, Lil Bradbury added 10, and Lesslie Bohannon scored nine.
Jan 22 Gordon Lee sailed by Bowdon 74-34. Holli Brooks led a balanced Lady Trojan attack with 17 points. Lil Bradbury scored 13, Lesslie Bohannon had 12, Katelyn Lee had 11, and Kassidy Blevins tallied nine. Katie Barger pulled down eight rebounds for GLHS.
Jan 21 The Lady Trojans defeated Chattanooga Christian 42-33. Holli Brooks led GLHS with 15 points. Lil Bradbury added 12. The JV team beat the Lady Chargers 35-30.
Jan 18 Gordon Lee jumped out to a 22-point lead after one quarter and cruised to an 84-20 win over Excel Christian. Holli Brooks scored a career-high 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Lady Trojans. Lesslie Bohannon also had a career-best night with 23 points.
Jan 8 The Lady Trojans led by nine at the half then outscored Mt. Zion 40-21 after the break to clinch a 64-36 win over the Lady Eagles. Holli Brooks led GLHS with 20 points. Lil Bradbury scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Lesslie Bohannon added 10 points while Katie Barger had nine points and seven rebounds. The JV posted a 58-20 win over Mt. Zion.
Jan 7 Gordon Lee led 49-13 at halftime on its way to a 71-25 blitzing of North Cobb Christian. Lesslie Bohannon had a game-high 18 points. Holli Brooks and Kassidy Blevins each finished with 11 while Alli O'Neal added 10.
Jan 4 The Lady Trojans evened their region record with a 79-67 overtime win over Darlington. Lil Bradbury had 21 points and nine rebounds for GLHS and Holli Brooks scored 20 points and dished out six assists. Alli O'Neal and Kassidy Blevins scored 10 points each while Lesslie Bohannon grabbed 14 rebounds. The JV team suffered its first loss of the season, falling the the Lady Tigers 46-34.
Dec 30 Gordon Lee won the Battle of the States tournament, beating host Towns County 62-48 in the championship game. Tournament MVP Kassidy Blevins had 15 points for the Lady Trojans, while All-Tournament selection Holli Brooks added 13. Alli O’Neal was also named to the All-Tournament squad.
Dec 29 The Lady Trojans topped Murphy, N.C. 59-49 in the semifinals of the Battle of the States tournament. Kassidy Blevins had 16 points, Holli Brooks scored 15 points, and Lil Bradbury chipped in 10 points for Gordon Lee.
Dec 28 Gordon Lee opened play in the Battle of the States tournament by knocking off Polk County 78-52. Holli Brooks led the Lady Trojans with 18 points. Alli O'Neal scored 12 points for GLHS while Kassidy Blevins added 11 and Katelyn Lee had 10.
Dec 17 The Lady Trojans fell to Mt. Paran 73-70 in their region opener. Holli Brooks paced GLHS with 22 points. The JV team defeated the Lady Eagles 54-34.
Dec 14 Gordon Lee avenged an earlier loss by knocking off Ringgold 59-35. Kassidy Blevins led the Lady Trojans with 24 points. Holli Brooks had 13 points and seven assists while Lesslie Bohannon grabbed 11 rebounds. The JV team also beat the Lady Tigers, winning 56-15.
Dec 10 The Lady Trojans defeated Heritage 69-34. Leading the way for GLHS were Holli Brooks who had 18 points and nine rebounds, Lesslie Bohannon with 13 points and seven rebounds, and Kassidy Blevins who scored 12 points and dished out six assists. The JV team topped the Generals 52-10.
Dec 3 Gordon Lee lost to Ringgold 48-42. Kassidy Blevins scored 12 points for GLHS. The JV team opened its season with a 42-20 win over the Lady Tigers.
Nov 30 The Lady Trojans evened their record with an 81-32 win over Heritage. Kassidy Blevins had 16 points and five assists, Holli Brooks had 13 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, Lesslie Bohannon had 13 points and six rebounds, and Lil Bradbury had 12 points and five rebounds for GLHS.
Nov 27 Gordon Lee picked up its first win of the season, pounding Adairsville 78-27 on the final day of the Lady Tiger Classic. Holli Brooks topped the Lady Trojans' scoring list with 22 points. Lesslie Bohannon scored 12 points while Kassidy Blevins added 10.
Nov 26 The Lady Trojans fell to Calhoun 47-37 in the Lady Tiger Classic. Holli Brooks scored 16 for GLHS.
Nov 22 Gordon Lee lost to Rome 78-62 in the first round of the Lady Tiger Thanksgiving Classic at Adairsville. Holli Brooks led the Lady Trojans with 22 points while Kassidy Blevins scored 15.
