2010 season updates
May 4 The Gordon Lee girls finished five strokes off the lead to place fifth in the state tournament at Bull Creek Golf Course in Columbus. Rachel Mason shot an 80 to finish second individually.
Apr 20 The Lady Trojans won their fifth straight Region 6-A title as Rachel Mason brought home the individual title and Alli O'Neal placed second individually. The girls will advance to the state tournament in Columbus. The Trojans saw their season come to an end as they finished third in the region. Josh Helton was the low scorer for GLHS.
Apr 15 The golf teams ended their regular seasons with victories at Battlefield. The boys knocked off LFO while the girls finished off an unbeaten season with a win over Murray County.
Apr 13 The Trojans topped LFO and Ridgeland but fell to Dade County at Battlefield. Josh Helton, Jack Beesley, Ben Harris, and Justin Overall were the leader for GLHS. The Lady Trojans knocked off Dade County to stay undefeated. Rachel Mason was the low scorer.
Mar 30 The girls' team remained unbeaten as they defeated Dade County at Air Castle. Rachel Mason was the low scorer for the Lady Trojans. The boys' team lost to the Wolverines. Jack Beesley had the low round for GLHS.
Mar 29 The Trojans defeated Ridgeland at Brown Acres. Josh Helton, Jack Beesley, and Justin Overall had the low scores. The JV team also picked up a win.
Mar 25 The girls' team remained unbeaten as they knocked off Murray County at Spring Lakes. The boys' team fell to the Indians 146-192. Josh Helton and Jack Beesley each shot a 41 while Justin Overall and Austin Goodlet both shot 55. The JV team beat Murray 206-222.
Mar 24 The Lady Trojans defeated Southeast Whitfield 92-102 in a match at Nob North. Rachel Mason shot a 39 and Alli O'Neal had a 53 for GLHS. The Trojans lost to the Raiders 181-185. Josh Helton and Jack Beesley each shot a 43. Justin Overall had a 48 and Austin Goodlet carded a 51.
Mar 18 The girls' team defeated LaFayette while the boys beat Ridgeland in a match at LaFayette.
Mar 9 The Lady Trojans opened their season with a 90-142 win over Heritage at Battlefield. Rachel Mason was low medalist with a 38. Alli O'Neal added a 52.
