2008 season updates
Apr 21 The Lady Trojans lost 3-2 to Athens Christian in the first round of the state tournament. Allison King and the doubles team of Andrea Barger-Katie Parrish got the two wins for Gordon Lee.
Apr 16 The Trojans' season ended with a 3-0 loss to Bowdon in the first round of the Region 6-A tournament.
Apr 15 The Lady Trojans defeated Excel Christian 3-1 in the finals of the Region 6-A tournament to capture their first region title since 1990. GLHS shut out North Paulding 3-0 in the tournament's first round and blanked Trion 3-0 in the semifinals to set up a rematch of last season's finalists. Allison King and Victoria Anderson had three singles wins each, and the team of Andrea Barger-Katie Parrish won all three of their doubles matches.
Apr 10 The boys' team finished the regular season with a 4-1 victory over Dade County. Charlie Webb and Daniel Smith won in singles for the Trojans while the teams of Eric Galyon-Blake Blevins and Daniel Mize-Dexter Kapur posted doubles wins. The girls' team beat the Lady Wolverines 3-2. GLHS got singles wins from Allison King and Victoria Anderson and a doubles win from the duo of Andrea Barger-Katie Parrish.
Apr 8 The Lady Trojans lost to Excel Christian 3-2. Allison King and Victoria Anderson won for GLHS. The Trojans fell to the Eagles 5-0.
Mar 28 Both teams beat North Paulding by 4-1 scores. The girls got singles wins from Allison King and Victoria Anderson and doubles victories from the pairs of Andrea Barger-Jessy Pressley and Jennifer Eberhardt-Angela Pence. Charlie Webb and Daniel Smith won in singles for the boys, and the teams of Eric Galyon-Blake Blevins and Daniel Mize-Dexter Kapur won in doubles.
Mar 27 The Lady Trojans beat Bremen 4-1. Allison King and Victoria Anderson won in singles for GLHS, while the teams of Andrea Barger-Katie Parrish and Jennifer Eberhardt-Angela Pence won doubles matches. The Trojans fell to the Blue Devils 5-0.
Mar 25 Gordon Lee's girls lost to Trion 3-2. Allison King won in singles and the team of Andrea Barger-Katie Parrish won in doubles for the Lady Trojans. The boys' team lost to the Bulldogs 4-1 as Daniel Smith recorded the only victory for GLHS.
Mar 20 The doubles team of Kali Baker-Jennifer Eberhardt rallied to win the third set of the final match to give the Lady Trojans a 3-2 victory over Bowdon in their region opener. Earlier GLHS got singles wins from Allison King and Jessy Pressley. The Trojans also beat the Red Devils 3-2. Daniel Smith won in singles and Eric Galyon-Blake Blevins won in doubles before the pair of Austin Culp-Zack Smith won the clinching match.
Mar 18 Dalton's boys won a third-set tiebreaker in the final match to take a 3-2 win over Gordon Lee. Charlie Webb and Daniel Smith won singles matches for the Trojans' two points. The Lady Trojans also dropped the final match in a 3-2 loss. Victoria Anderson won in singles and the doubles team of Andrea Barger-Katie Parrish won in doubles for GLHS.
Mar 17 The Lady Trojans fell to Ringgold 3-2. Allison King and Jessy Pressley got the wins for GLHS. The Trojans lost to the Tigers 5-0.
Mar 12 Gordon Lee's girls lost to Northwest Whitfield 3-2. The Lady Trojans got wins from Allison King in singles and Andrea Barger-Katie Parrish in doubles. The boys' team lost to the Bruins 5-0.
Mar 6 The Trojans fell to LaFayette 4-1. The doubles team of Eric Galyon-Blake Blevins got the only win for GLHS. The Lady Trojans also lost 4-1 as Allison King recorded the only victory. The Lady Ramblers won two three-set matches in doubles to ice the match.
Mar 4 Gordon Lee opened the season with a pair of 4-1 wins over Ridgeland. Charlie Webb and Daniel Smith won in singles for the Trojans, while the teams of Eric Galyon-Blake Blevins and Dexter Kapur-Chris King won doubles matches. The Lady Trojans got singles victories from Victoria Anderson and Allison King, and doubles wins from Andrea Barger-Katie Parrish and Jennifer Eberhardt-Angela Pence.
