GLHS Volleyball 2005

2005 season updates

October 15 — The Lady Trojans finished third in the Area Tournament. Gordon Lee began the day by losing to LaFayette, then came back to defeat Adairsville and Temple before falling to LaFayette again, one win short of qualifying for State play.

October 12 — Gordon Lee clinched the second seed in the upcoming Area tournament with a pair of victories. Tiffany Smallwood led the way in the Lady Trojans' 2-0 win over Temple with seven kills and ten aces. GLHS rallied from a 19-10 deficit to beat LaFayette 25-22 in game one of their match, then after falling 25-21 in game two, won the final game 25-13.

October 6 — Gordon Lee dropped a pair of matches, losing to Lookout Valley and Darlington.

October 4 — The Lady Trojans lost to Tennessee Temple.

September 22 — Gordon Lee lost to Ridgeland in three games. Tiffany Smallwood had four kills, three blocks and one ace for the Lady Trojans. The JV team beat Ridgeland 2-0.

September 15 — The Lady Trojans lost to Southeast Whitfield. The JV team defeated defeated Southeast in three games. Amber Roberts served the last four points for the victory.

September 13 — Gordon Lee swept a pair of Area matches, knocking off both Rockmart and Adairsville by 2-0 scores. Reagan Nolen finished the night with 12 kills, Abby Holder had 8 digs, and Alli Brooks served 7 aces. Jordan Dupree handed out 14 assists to go along with 5 kills, 4 digs, and 4 aces.

September 10 — The Lady Trojans finished second in the Bronze Division of the Darlington Tiger Tournament. Gordon Lee was 1-2 in pool play, then defeated Temple before losing to Northgate in the division finals. Jordan Dupree was named to the All-Tournament team. Abby Holder, Reagan Nolen, and Jessy Pressley were named Honorable Mention.

September 8 — Gordon Lee lost to Grace Academy 3-0.

September 6 — The Lady Trojans defeated 21st Century in three games as Jordan Dupree dished out 8 assists, Reagan Nolen served 5 aces, and Jessy Pressley had 3 kills. Gordon Lee then dropped a three-game match to Tennessee Temple. Alli Brooks and Tiffany Smallwood each registered 5 kills, and Brooks added four aces.

September 1 — Gordon Lee fell to Ridgeland in two games, then lost a tough 17-25, 27-25, 25-19 struggle with Murray County.

August 30 — The Lady Trojans lost to LaFayette 25-20, 25-17. Tiffany Smallwood had five aces, two kills and a block. Jordan Dupree had two kills and Alli Brooks added two aces for Gordon Lee.

August 25 — Gordon Lee lost to Lookout Valley in two games then dropped a hard-fought three-game match to CSAS.

August 20 — The Lady Trojans picked up their first win of the season with a 25-12, 25-14 win over Grady. Earlier in the day GLHS lost matches to Walker, St. Francis, and Cartersville.

August 18 — Gordon Lee lost a pair of matches, falling to LaFayette in two games and then losing to Southeast Whitfield in three.

August 11 — The Lady Trojans opened their season by dropping a match against LFO. Katie Parrish led Gordon Lee with four kills and three aces. The JV team also lost to the Lady Warriors.
