Baseball team wins NGAC

The GLMS baseball team capped a perfect 18-0 season by winning the North Georgia Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships. The Trojans swept the tournament Championship Series, defeating Heritage 14-4 and 13-3. Gordon Lee had earlier shut out Rossville in the tournament's first round and Dade County in the semifinals.

The championships were the first for GLMS in baseball.

Drew Vaughn, Logan Peterson, Christian Demastus, and Conard Broom were selected to the NGAC All-League team. Cole Vann, Ryan Armour, and Will Goodman were chosen to the All-Tournament team while Tyler Payne was named as the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

2010 season updates

May 8 Gordon Lee won its first NGAC baseball championship by knocking off Heritage 13-3 to win the Championship Series in two straight games.

May 7 The Trojans blasted Heritage 14-4 in the first game of the NGAC Championship Series.

May 5 Gordon Lee shut out Dade County 8-0 to advance to the NGAC Championship Series.

May 4 The Trojans defeated Rossville 11-0 in the first round of the NGAC tournament.

Apr 26 Drew Vaughn hit a walk-off, two-run homer to give the Trojans a 5-3 victory over Ringgold.

Apr 22 Gordon Lee knocked off Lakeview 6-1.

Apr 19 The Trojans beat LaFayette 10-1.

Apr 17 Gordon Lee defeated Heritage 4-3.

Apr 13 The Trojans improved their NGAC record to 8-0 by whipping Dade County 12-1.

Apr 12 Gordon Lee got back into action with an 18-0 pounding of LaFayette.

Apr 2 The Trojans got past Ringgold 6-4.

Apr 1 Gordon Lee shut out Dade County 11-0.

Mar 30 The Trojans thumped Trion 10-0.

Mar 27 Gordon Lee beat Lakeview 5-1.

Mar 26 The Trojans edged Chattanooga Valley 2-1.

Mar 18 Gordon Lee improved its record to 2-0 with a 9-2 victory over Heritage.

Mar 9 The Trojans defeated Calhoun 4-0 in their season opener.

Mar 1 The JV team opened its season by tying LaFayette 4-4. The game was called due to darkness.
