Trojan basketball team wins NGAC championships
The Gordon Lee basketball team captured its second North Georgia Athletic Conference tournament championship on February 7 by defeating Heritage 62-45 in the finals. The Trojans had beaten Lakeview in the tournament's first round and edged LaFayette in the semifinals.
Gordon Lee's previous tournament title came in 2003.
The Trojans also shared the league's regular-season championship, their third, posting a record of 11-3 in NGAC games. The team finished with an overall record of 15-3.
2008-2009 season updates

Jan 17 The JV team came up just short against Chattanooga Christian, falling 31-29.
Jan 16 The Trojans stretched their winning streak to nine games by beating Dade County 42-29.

Jan 10 The Trojans knocked off Chattanooga Christian 47-33. The JV team lost to the Chargers 36-31.
Jan 9 Gordon Lee rallied in the fourth quarter to defeat LaFayette 64-60 and take sole possession of first place in the NGAC.
Jan 6 The JV team topped Chattanooga Valley 38-17.
Dec 20 The JV Trojans beat LaFayette 46-43 in overtime.
Dec 19 The JV team lost to Lakeview 29-23.
Dec 16 The Trojans blasted Rossville 70-29 to finish the first half of their NGAC schedule tied for first place with a record of 5-2. The JV team also defeated the Bulldogs, 42-25.
Dec 12 Gordon Lee jumped out to a big early lead then held off Ringgold 42-38, snapping a seven-game losing streak to the Tigers. The JV team dropped a 42-32 decision to Ringgold.
Dec 9 The Trojans trailed by one entering the fourth quarter but rallied to defeat Chattanooga Valley 41-37. The JV team lost to Heritage 39-22.
Dec 6 Gordon Lee evened its record at 2-2 with a 44-30 win over Dade County. The JV team got its first win with a 46-11 beating of the Wolverines.
Dec 5 The Trojans picked up their first win of the season, blasting Lakeview 54-20. The JV team came up short against the Warriors, losing 31-27.
Nov 22 The JV team could not hold a halftime lead and lost to Dade County 32-27.
Nov 21 Gordon Lee lost to Heritage 44-31. The JV team also fell to the Generals, 39-17.
