The GLMS football team defeated Rossville 46-24 on Friday, October 22 to win its second consecutive North Georgia Athletic Conference championship and third in five years. The Trojans, who finished the season with a 7-0 record, also won titles in 2000 and 2003. The perfect season was the first in school history.

Gordon Lee scored touchdowns on its first six possessions of the game and rolled up 366 yards of offense in the win. Game MVP Jacob Groce ran for 169 yards and three touchdowns. Justin Owens was 6 for 8 passing for 136 yards including four completions to Jordan Afman for 91 yards and two TDs.

Groce led the defense with eight tackles and an interception. Dalton Ruby had seven stops and a fumble recovery.

Running back Jacob Groce was honored as the North Georgia Athletic Conference's Most Valuable Player at the league's annual awards ceremony Friday, October 22. Quarterback Justin Owens, end Joseph Kennedy, lineman Ethan Clements, wingback Jordan Afman, and linebacker Dalton Ruby were named to the All-League team.


2004 season updates

October 22 — The Trojans won their second consecutive NGAC title with a 46-24 victory over Rossville in the league championship game. Gordon Lee scored on the last play of the first half to take a 28-16 halftime lead, then added two third-quarter touchdowns and a late safety to finish off the Bulldogs.

October 14 — Gordon Lee completed the first undefeated regular season in school history with a 28-8 win over Lakeview.

October 4 — The JV team defeated Ringgold 28-0.

September 30 — The JV Trojans suffered their first loss of the season, falling to Lakeview 22-14 in overtime.

September 28 — Gordon Lee blasted Dade County 42-6. Jacob Groce scored three touchdowns and Jordan Afman scored two for the Trojans. Brad Culbreth ran for 81 yards and one TD. Dalton Ruby led the defense with seven tackles. Casey Mount recorded six stops.

September 23 — The JV Trojans defeated LaFayette 8-0. Taylor Pace caught a touchdown pass from Grayson Chambers for the winning score.

September 21 — Gordon Lee smashed LaFayette 32-6. Jacob Groce scored two touchdowns to lead the attack. Austin Goodlet recorded eight tackles for the Trojan defense. Casey Mount picked off two passes and Jordan Afman added one interception.

September 14 — The Trojans knocked off Ringgold 14-8. Jacob Groce and Jordan Afman scored for Gordon Lee.

September 9 — Gordon Lee defeated Chattanooga Valley 24-0. Jacob Groce ran for 197 yards and two touchdowns and Jordan Afman added one TD for the Trojans. Joseph Kennedy led the defense with eight tackles.

September 2 — The JV Trojans opened the season with a 20-0 win over Rossville.

August 31 — The Trojans opened their season with a 8-0 win over Rossville. Jacob Groce scored for Gordon Lee.
