Six Lady Trojans honored by NGAC
Six members of the Lady Trojan softball team received honors from the North Georgia Athletic Conference at the end-of-season awards ceremony. Pitcher Emily Armour, shortstop Kennedy Harris, second baseman Addi Taylor, and third baseman Avrie Weldon were named to the NGAC All-League team. Outfielders Glynne Ford and Shay Wooten were selected to the All-tournament team.
2011 season updates
Sep 29 Gordon Lee's season ended with a 4-1 loss to Lakeview in the semifinals of the NGAC tournament. The Lady Trojans finished with a record of 13-3.
Sep 27 The Lady Trojans knocked off Trion 15-2 in the first round of the NGAC tournament. A three-run home run by Emily Armour sparked an eight-run first-inning outburst by GLMS.
Sep 24 Gordon Lee lost to Lakeview 4-0.
Sep 20 The Lady Trojans clinched a share of the NGAC championship with a 2-0 win over Heritage. The game's only runs came home in the bottom of the sixth inning on a two-run double by Emily Armour.
Sep 17 The JV team lost to LaFayette 10-2.
Sep 16 Gordon Lee scored 10 runs in the first inning on its way to a 13-0 blanking of Rossville. Kennedy Harris was 3-for-3 with three runs scored while Canaan Burnett had two hits, drove in a run, and scored twice. Emily Armour allowed only two hits and struck out 10.
Sep 15 The Lady Trojans beat Chattanooga Valley 5-0. Emily Armour allowed only three hits while striking out 19. Armour and Glynne Ford had two hits each for GLMS. Canaan Burnett added a double to the Lady Trojans' attack.
Sep 13 Gordon Lee improved its record to 3-0 in NGAC play by beating Ringgold 8-2. A bases-loaded double by Canaan Burnett keyed a five-run fifth inning for the Lady Trojans. Kennedy Harris and Avrie Weldon also doubled for GLMS. Emily Armour pitched a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts.
Sep 8 Emily Armour singled home the game's only run with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Lady Trojans a 1-0 win over LaFayette. Armour was also the winning pitcher, firing a complete-game shutout. Karsan Gazaway had three hits for GLMS.
Sep 3 Gordon Lee suffered its first loss of the season, falling to Heritage 3-0.
Sep 2 The Lady Trojans topped Chattanooga Valley 10-5.
Sep 1 Gordon Lee shut out GPS 6-0. Emily Armour struck out 18 and allowed just one hit in the victory. Avrie Weldon was 3-for-4 for GLMS, while Canaan Burnett, Shay Wooten, and Glynne Ford had extra-base hits.
Aug 30 The Lady Trojans won their NGAC opener, beating Trion 9-6 in eight innings. Emily Armour, Mary Kate Pritchett, and Shay Wooten had two hits each. Armour went the distance in the circle, striking out 16.
Aug 26 Gordon Lee defeated Chattanooga Valley 12-3.

Aug 25 The Lady Trojans scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, capped by a two-out, two-strike, two-run home run by Madison Collier, to defeat Ringgold 8-7. Avrie Weldon was 3-for-3, including a double to lead off the big seventh inning, and scored three runs. Canaan Burnett pitched two scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win.
Aug 23 Gordon Lee shut out Dade County 12-0. The Lady Trojans sent 13 batters to the plate in the third inning and scored seven times to break the game open. Avrie Weldon and Addi Taylor had two hits each. Emily Armour and Kennedy Harris combined to strike out 12 in four innings. The Lady Wolverines' only baserunner came on a dropped third strike.
Aug 18 The Lady Trojans opened their season with a 4-2 win over Trion. Emily Armour allowed only one hit and three walks while striking out 17. An RBI triple by Kennedy Harris sparked the GLMS offense.
