2005 season updates
October 14 — The Lady Trojans' season ended with a 6-5 loss to LaFayette in the semifinals of the NGAC tournament. Gordon Lee rallied from a 5-1 deficit to tie the game at 5-5, but LaFayette recaptured the lead in the bottom of the sixth and held on for the win.
October 13 — Gordon Lee beat Dade County 1-0 in the first round of the NGAC tournament. Anna Quinn scored the game's only run on a second-inning bunt by Jensen O'Neal.
October 11 — The Lady Trojans defeated Dade County 4-0. Brittany Murphy pitched a two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts. Holli Brooks and Courtnee Hall were each 2-for-3 at the plate. GLMS recognized the four eighth graders playing their last regular-season home game.
October 4 — Gordon Lee defeated Dade County 10-3 to clinch a tie for second place in the NGAC. The Lady Trojans finished league play with a record of 5-2. Brittany Murphy picked up the win by pitching a complete game. Courtnee Hall went 3-for-4 at the plate and Kelsie Bickett was a perfect 2-for-2.
September 30 — The Lady Trojans lost to LaFayette 8-4. Gordon Lee could not hold an early 2-0 lead.
September 29 — Courtnee Hall scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh to give Gordon Lee a 5-4 win over Lakeview. Hall led off the inning with a single, moved to second on a wild pitch, and advanced to third on a sacrifice by Haley Kokoszka, before dashing home with the winning run. Brittany Murphy picked up the win in relief. Murphy came on to pitch with a runner on second and one out in the top of the seventh and retired both batters she faced. The Lady Trojans improved their record to 4-1 in NGAC play.
September 23 — Gordon Lee suffered its first NGAC loss of the season, falling to Ringgold 3-2 in nine innings. The Lady Tigers broke a scoreless tie in the top of the seventh, pushing across an unearned run. Anna Quinn tripled in the bottom of the seventh to score Jensen O'Neal and send the game to extra innings. Ringgold scored twice in the top of the ninth but the Lady Trojans could only answer with one run on a Kelsie Bickett groundout. Gordon Lee had the potential winning run on third base with only one out in both the seventh and eighth innings but were unable to deliver a timely hit. Brittany Murphy pitched the first seven innings for GLMS without allowing an earned run.
September 20 — The Lady Trojans beat Rossville 15-0 in three innings. Courtnee Hall went 3-for-3 and Lesslie Bohannon had two triples. Sam Taylor was the winning pitcher.
September 13 — Gordon Lee improved its NGAC record to 2-0 with a 2-0 blanking of Chattanooga Valley. Brittany Murphy tossed a three-hitter with eight strikeouts. Holli Brooks, Anna Quinn, and Sam Taylor had doubles for the Lady Trojans.
September 9 — The Lady Trojans defeated Heritage 11-1 in their first NGAC game of the season. Brittany Murphy picked up the win, pitching all seven innings without allowing an earned run. Chelsea Tarvin led the GLMS offense with three hits.
September 6 — Gordon Lee lost to Ringgold 6-2.
September 1 — The Lady Trojans opened their season by dropping a 6-4 decision to Lakeview.
