Four receive NGAC honors
Four members of the Lady Trojan softball team received honors from the North Georgia Athletic Conference at the end-of-season awards ceremony. Named to the All-League team were centerfielder Tiffany Holland and shortstop/catcher Reagan Brown. Pitcher Emily Armour and third baseman/shortstop Meghan O'Toole were selected to the All-Tournament team.
2010 season updates
Sep 30 The Lady Trojans' season came to an end with a 4-2 loss to Heritage in the semifinals of the NGAC tournament. GLMS finished the year with a record of 11-7.
Sep 28 Gordon Lee knocked off LaFayette 9-1 in the first round of the NGAC tournament.
Sep 24 The Lady Trojans lost to Heritage 10-4. GLMS finished the regular season in fourth place in the NGAC with a 10-6 record.
Sep 23 Gordon Lee shut out Ringgold 6-0. RBI singles by Tiffany Holland and Montanna Byrd and an RBI triple by Reagan Brown were the key hits for the GLMS offense. Emily Armour struck out 10 in getting the win.
Sep 21 The Lady Trojans beat Rossville 7-1.
Sep 20 Melissa Duran drove home Avrie Weldon with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Gordon Lee a 2-1 victory over LaFayette. Emily Armour allowed only one baserunner, on a sixth-inning infield single, and struck out 14. Armour knocked in the Lady Trojans' first run with a fourth-inning double.
Sep 17 The Lady Trojans defeated Dade County 9-0. Meghan O'Toole, Avrie Weldon, and Mary Kate Pritchett all had two hits for GLMS while O'Toole and Tiffany Holland scored three runs each. Emily Armour struck out 12 and walked none to pick up the win.
Sep 16 Gordon Lee blanked Trion 6-0. Emily Armour pitched the shutout, striking out 12.
Sep 10 The Lady Trojans gave up only two third-inning runs but could not dent the scoreboard themselves in a 2-0 loss to Chattanooga Valley.
Sep 7 Gordon Lee lost to Lakeview 11-9.
Sep 3 The Lady Trojans fell to Heritage 12-2.
Sep 2 Gordon Lee defeated Ringgold 8-7.
Aug 31 The Lady Trojans picked up a 7-0 win over Rossville.
Aug 28 A seventh-inning comeback fell short and Gordon Lee dropped a 9-7 decision to Lakeview.
Aug 27 The Lady Trojans snuffed out a Dade County rally in the top of the seventh and held on for a 7-6 victory. Emily Armour was the winning pitcher, allowing only one earned run and striking out six while going 3-for-3 at the plate. Chalee Jackson had two doubles in three at-bats and Tiffany Holland had two hits and scored twice. Reagan Brown drew three walks and scored two runs.
Aug 26 Gordon Lee lost to Trion 13-0.
Aug 20 The Lady Trojans improved their record to 2-0 with a 5-3 victory over Chattanooga Valley.
Aug 19 Gordon Lee began its season by whipping LaFayette 9-1.
