Volleyball team wins NGAC championship
The GLMS Lady Trojan volleyball team captured its first North Georgia Athletic Conference title on March 16 by sweeping Lakeview in two straight games. Gordon Lee finished the regular season with an 11-1 record.
The Lady Trojans were the top seed in the NGAC tournament and defeated Ringgold in the winner's bracket semifinals before dropping a three-game match to Heritage in the winner's bracket finals. GLMS bounced back to sweep two straight matches over LaFayette and Heritage to force a decisive final match. Gordon Lee lost the first game of the finals but came back to win the second. The Lady Trojans came up just short in the final game, falling 25-23 to finish second in the tournament.
Six Lady Trojans honored by NGAC
Six members of the Lady Trojan volleyball team received honors from the North Georgia Athletic Conference at the end-of-season awards ceremony. Holli Brooks, Alli O'Neal, and Cassy Clendenen were named to the NGAC All-League team. Courtnee Hall, Anna Quinn, and Brittany Murphy were named to the All-Tournament team.
2007 season updates
Mar 24 Gordon Lee won two matches and lost two to finish second in the NGAC tournament. The Lady Trojans began the day with a 2-1 loss to Heritage in the winner's bracket finals but knocked out LaFayette in two games in the loser's bracket finals. GLMS then beat Heritage in straight games to force a final match for the championship, but the Lady Generals prevailed 25-18, 13-25, 25-23. Leaders for the Lady Trojans on the final day were Courtnee Hall (8 service points, 3 aces, 22 digs, 14 kills), Holli Brooks (7 service points, 1 ace, 36 digs, 3 kills), Brittany Murphy (21 service points, 6 aces, 12 digs, 7 assists, 3 kills), Alli O'Neal (12 service points, 15 digs, 6 kills), Anna Quinn (12 service points, 1 ace, 21 digs, 18 kills), Kelsie Bickett (4 service points, 2 aces, 22 digs, 16 assists, 1 kill), and Lindsey Pierce (11 digs). Gordon Lee finished the season with a record of 14-3.
Mar 22 The Lady Trojans defeated Ringgold 25-21, 25-18 in the winner's bracket semifinals of the NGAC tournament. Courtnee Hall had five kills and six digs, Anna Quinn had seven digs, Kelsie Bickett had seven digs and six assists, and Cassy Clendenen also had six assists.
Mar 16 Gordon Lee beat Lakeview 25-15, 25-18 to capture its first-ever NGAC regular-season championship. Leaders for GLMS were Holli Brooks with 17 digs, Kelsie Bickett with 12 assists, Anna Quinn with 7 kills, and Cassy Clendenen with 10 service points won. The Lady Trojans completed regular-season play with a record of 11-1.
Mar 13 The Lady Trojans dropped the first game of their match, but rallied for a 21-25, 25-13, 25-19 victory over Ringgold. Anna Quinn had 12 kills while Kelsie Bickett, Holli Brooks, and Alli O'Neal had eight digs each. Brooks led GLMS with 14 points won on serve. The JV team beat the Lady Tigers in two straight games. Brandi Hearn won 10 service points. Brittany Murphy and Lindsey Pierce had six digs each.

Alli O'Neal led GLMS with seven digs and six kills while Cassy Clendenen served six aces and handed out five assists. The JV team won the first game of its match but dropped the next two. Brandi Hearn won 17 points on serve for the Lady Trojans.
Mar 6 The Lady Trojans picked up a pair of wins, defeating Chattanooga Valley 25-12, 25-11, and beating Rossville 25-9, 25-12. Cassy Clendenen won 10 service points and Alli O'Neal won seven for GLMS against the Lady Eagles. Kelsie Bickett served six aces, Anna Quinn and Courtnee Hall had seven digs each, and Clendenen had six assists against the Lady Bulldogs.
Mar 2 Gordon Lee split a pair of matches, defeating Rossville 25-17, 25-14, but falling to LaFayette 25-21, 25-23. Holli Brooks served nine aces against the Lady Bulldogs, while Alli O'Neal led GLMS against the Lady Ramblers with seven points won on serve.

Feb 27 The Lady Trojans beat Lakeview 28-26, 25-10, as Holli Brooks served eight aces. The JV team dropped a three-game match to the Lady Warriors. Rachel Darr had six aces.
Feb 23 Gordon Lee defeated Ringgold 25-11, 25-10. Holli Brooks had 7 aces, Anna Quinn had 7 kills, and Cassy Clendenen had 5 assists. Brooks won 16 service points for the match while Courtnee Hall added 10. The JV team also defeated the Lady Tigers in two straight games as Brandi Hearn collected 13 service points.
Feb 20 The Lady Trojans knocked off LaFayette in two straight games, 25-17 and 25-19. Cassy Clendenen won 10 points on serve in the match.
Feb 17 Gordon Lee opened its season with a pair of wins. The Lady Trojans began with a 25-23, 25-22 win over Heritage, then followed by beating Chattanooga Valley 25-16, 25-20. Holli Brooks led GLMS with 15 service points won against the Lady Generals and 16 against the Lady Eagles. The JV team beat Heritage in two straight games and split a pair of games against Chattanooga Valley.
