The GLHS Multifandom Club, a club for all things fandom based (comics, books, animé, gaming, etc.), recently attended ConNooga, a family-friendly multifandom convention in Chattanooga. This was the club’s seventh year to attend the convention, and for the past six years members have presented a “meet and greet” panel.
To prepare for the panel club members research a show by watching all its episodes and studying its characters. They then dress and act as the characters during sessions when fans of all ages come to ask questions and interact with the students, which requires them to be ready for anything. This year the club prepared the animé RWBY. In the past they have presented other popular shows such as My Hero Academia and Voltron.
For the past three years the panels presented by the Multifandom Club have been among the best attended at the convention and have received perfect ratings on Attendify. Because of the club’s growth and its popularity at ConNooga, members hope to present two separate panels at next year’s convention.
